TRAVEL TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

OLA PROVINCIALS FOR SENIOR BOX AND MASTERS!

 

Earlier this year the DWLL announced our affiliation with the OLA.  The primary reason for DWLL joining the OLA was to enhance what we have already built.  2008 will mark history as the OLA will offer for the first time ever provincial championships for both Senior Box and Masters.  The DWLL is proud to be the first host of the Provincials!  Nothing would make us more proud then bringing home the first ever provincial championship…. so we are calling on all our players, are interested in joining a competitive travel team?  Are you ready to take your game to the next level?! 

Tell me more about the travel teams?

The DWLL is planning to submit 2 Competitive Masters Teams and 1 Senior Box (contact) team.    

MASTERS TRAVEL TEAM - Gary Mark and Jason Richards have been announced as our head coaches for these two teams.  Our plan at this time is to create two evenly matched teams to compete against the other centers.  At this time no formal try outs are planned, but will occur if required.  Gary and Jason would like us to pull together a list of players interested. 

SENIOR BOX TRAVEL TEAM - The contact league has had a travel team for a number of years. Joanne Latimer has a head coach lined up and is currently working to develop a tryout schedule.

What dates do I need to commit to?

Senior Box                                       Masters

August 10th PROVINCIALS          August 16th PROVINCIALS  

 

 *Aside from these dates there will be some practice time required.

How do I join the travel team?

All interested players are asked to send an email to Karen Fountain karen.fountain@solvay.com noting which rep team they are interested in playing, Masters or Box.  The lists will then be forwarded to the coaches.  We’d ask that you send your interest no later then Tuesday May 20th

Don’t delay!  Get you name in ASAP.  Years of experience are not a requirement, you only need to have been a member of our league in the past 12 months and have a yearning to compete!
